Why Chulu

A

Slow Burned, Not Flavored

Banana and coconut, simmered for hours until they turn dark and chewy. Nothing added, nothing rushed.

B

Not That Banana

Zero artificial banana flavor. Made from a small, creamy Southeast Asian banana prized for its vanilla-custard sweetness. It tastes like dark caramel with a story.

C

Made the Same Way for Generations

A street-stall classic across Thailand and Vietnam.

D

Wrapped One by One

Travel-proof, desk-proof, never melts.

Slow Burned. One Problem: Stopping.

No Rancid Bananas. Ever.

Questions.

What does it taste like?

Dark caramel and toffee, with a slow banana-and-coconut warmth underneath. Chewy, glossy, a little smoky at the edges. Not the fake yellow banana you're bracing for. This is the real fruit, cooked until it goes dark.

What's in it?

Banana, coconut milk, and a little sugar, slow cooked for hours until it turns dark. No preservatives, no artificial colours. The full panel is on every bag.

Why is it so dark?

That's what fruit looks like after hours over low heat. No dye. No cocoa. Slow burned, that's it.

Where does it come from?

Việt Nam's Mekong Delta. It is an old candy made across Southeast Asia, and the darkest, slowest version comes from Bến Tre, the coconut capital of the delta. That is where ours is cooked. The whole story is on the story page.

How long does it keep?

Twelve months from the production date, printed on the back of every bag. Keep it somewhere cool and dry. Once it's open, seal the bag and it'll be fine for weeks. It won't last that long.

When does it ship?

Batch 001 ships in August 2026. Order now and we will email you the moment it is on its way.
